Workspaces are the way to separate applications you use for different aspects of our life. This feature is only available for Pro and Enterprise licenses. You can create, for example, a workspace for "Work" applications, and another called "Personal" for all personal stuff. This way you can easily organize your apps but also set some configuration for the nested apps and workspaces (work hours, mute sounds, etc.).

Creating Workspaces

You can create a new one by clicking the "plus" icon in the tab level that you want. You'll see the "Create new workspace" view with options:

Name

Name of the workspace you are creating.

Work hours

This option allows you to only allow notifications and sounds for this workspace within the selected range of time. The unread notification counter is removed from the workspace, but preserved in the inner apps, when this feature is enabled. If you set this to blank, this feature would be disabled.

Layout

This option allows you to set a predefined layout to the workspace, being the first (tab bar) the default one, and four types of Tiles (dashboard like layout).

Enable workspace

If you disable a workspace, all nested elements within it will be disabled, and therefore you'll no longer receive messages and notifications from them.

Allow sounds

Enable this option if you want Rambox to reproduce app's sounds within this workspace. If you disable this option, this workspace will be muted and, hence, all apps inside it.

Allow notifications

Set this option if you want to receive notifications from the elements nested within this workspace.

Display in Tab

Enable this option if you intend to see a badge in the workspace icon when you have unread notifications within it.

Display in Parent (non-root level)

Enable this option to add this workspace unread notifications counter to the parent's unread counter.

Include in global (root level)

Enable this option to add this workspace's unread notifications counter to the global unread counter.

Profile

You can set a profile scheme for a workspace, and all apps and workspaces within it, or a "private" profile if you want that all nested apps have an isolated profile for each one. For this, nested elements need to have their profile set to "inherit from Workspace". Let's say that you want to that all apps nested in the workspace can get logged in to Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Photos with the same user, and you want to avoid having to get logged in each app. Well, this is the solution for that scenario. Select an icon / Upload image

By clicking it the logo, you'll get two options, 

Select an icon: It'll open a drawer with many icons to choose from.

Upload image: It'll open a dialog, so you can select a logo of your own. It must be a 128 x 128 pixels PNG format file.

When you are done setting these configurations, click "+Add" at the bottom of the view.
